Mom has been at the hospital for several days and they keep dithering about if she will get surgery or not. She needs it, but of course the medicade/medicare she is on could be preventing her from receiving it. We are all waiting about with fingers crossed and pushing for them to do the right thing. Meanwhile because they aren’t certain if she will get the procedure or not they haven’t been feeding her. This is not ideal because she has lost so much weight already due to her surgery a month ago…and well, she needs to put on weight. We have been encouraging her to eat every two or three hours, but now it’s been eighteen hours since she last ate.
